2022-2023 Semifinalist Profile: Johnston Hill '23

Johnston Hill is a 3L from Boise, Idaho. Johnston represented the Appellant in both the Qualifying and Semifinal Rounds.

We asked Johnston a few questions about his experience competing in the Stone Moot Court Competition this year:

Stone Director: What has been your favorite part of the Stone Competition so far?

Hill: My partners. Last year I worked with Cesar Garcia and this year I've worked with Roger Tejada and Sam Gordon. Each of them is an outstanding advocate. But more than that, they're good people--they've (almost) managed to make the caffeine-fueled push to meet a midnight deadline enjoyable. I'm lucky to have been paired with them.

Stone Director: What is the first thing you did after your last oral argument during the Qualifying Round?

Hill: There was never any doubt: immediately fall asleep.
