Rubí Rodriguez

Rubí Rodriguez is originally from Long Island and grew up in Atlanta, Georgia. She graduated from the University of Georgia in 2016 with a B.A. in International Affairs and Anthropology. In college, Rubí interned at the International Rescue Committee in Atlanta and worked on multiple research projects focusing on the human rights of refugees, asylum seekers, and migrant workers. Since graduating, Rubí has worked for multiple immigration and refugee advocacy organizations including Chhaya Community Development Corporation, the Young Center for Immigrant Children’s Rights, and the ACLU’s Immigrants’ Rights Project. This past summer, she was an SEO Law Fellow at Morrison & Foerster LLP where she conducted research for corporate investigation cases and assisted pro bono clients. Rubí will spend her time at Columbia Law School as a Public Interest/Public Service Fellow. In her free time, she enjoys reading novels and catching up on her favorite shows with her cat, Opal.
