Nicole Castillo is a proud native of New Jersey. In 2017, she graduated from Dartmouth College with a B.A. in Government and Asian and Middle Eastern Studies. As an undergrad, Nicole interned at the Washington Office on Latin America and Actuar Por Bolivar, a nonprofit organization in Colombia. Already fluent in Spanish, she chose to continue building her Arabic language skills after graduation. Nicole spent the following year as a Fulbright English Teaching Assistant in Tétouan, Morocco. Upon returning to the States, Nicole accepted a position at her alma mater as a Speech and Debate Coach. A former debater and enthusiastic educator, she co-founded the Summer Debate Institute, a tuition-free camp for under-resourced students in the Miami area. Nicole is currently a Public Interest/ Public Service Fellow and is involved with LaLSA, Rightslink, and the Mentoring Youth through Legal Education Program.
