Juan Moreno

Juan Moreno is originally from the Bronx, New York, and graduated from Georgetown University with a B.S.F.S. in International Politics and Certificate in Latin American Studies. In college, Juan interned for the Capital Area Immigrants' Rights (CAIR) Coalition where he translated for detained migrants in the D.C. area. Since graduating, Juan worked as a litigation paralegal at Kirkland & Ellis LLP in New York. He was awarded the Kirkland Pro Bono Achiever Award for 2020 and 2021 for his work on pro bono matters related to immigrants’ rights. This past summer, he was an SEO Law Fellow at Kirkland’s San Francisco office where he conducted research for ongoing commercial disputes and participated in a special immigrant juvenile status clinic. At Columbia Law, Juan is a 1L Rep for the Suspension Representation Project and a 1L staff editor for the Journal of Race & Law. Outside of school, Juan enjoys listening to classic salsa music and taking care of his indoor plants.
