Casandra Delgado

Casandra Mercedes Delgado ’24 grew up in Detroit, Michigan, and graduated from New York University in May 2021. She received a B.A. in Individualized Study, completing a colloquium and rationale entitled, “Criminalizing Narratives: Advocacy, Public Policy & Law”. She also received a minor in Spanish Language & Latin American History. During her time at NYU, Casandra worked at the Office of the Public Defender for Washtenaw County, the Public Defender Service for the District of Columbia, and the Legal Aid Society of New York. After her graduation, Casandra had the opportunity to participate in the SEO Law Fellowship at Davis Polk & Wardwell. At CLS, Casandra looks forward to working as a staff editor for the Journal of Race and Law, and as a member of the LaLSA Asylum & Refugee Law Moot Court team. Her areas of interest include criminal defense, immigration law, international law, human rights, and litigation. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, dancing, traveling, reading, and watching shows on Telemundo.
