Annel Becerra Rodriguez is a second year at CLS. She is a graduate of the University of California, Berkeley, where she received a degree in Legal Studies and Chicano Studies. Prior to law school, she worked as a paralegal at an immigration and criminal defense non-profit in the Bay Area. She is interested in pursuing a career at the intersection of immigrants’ rights and criminal justice reform. Annel is currently serving as the Vice President of the Latinx Law Students association.
Annel’s favorite part of 1L was participating in the Asylum and Refugee Law Moot Court and competing on the external team at UC Davis. She looks forward to cultivating community, encouraging confidence, and fostering growth as a coach on this year’s team.
