Ankon Rahi was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. He graduated with honors from the University of California, Irvine in 2020 with a B.A. in Economics, B.A. in Political Science, and a minor in Anthropology with a focus in migration. As the child of immigrants from Bangladesh, Ankon was inspired by his family’s hardships both abroad and in the United States. He developed a passion for aiding and representing the underprivileged. Ankon’s college days were spent interning for the Public Defender in Orange County, assisting the Asian American Justice Center in D.C., and leading his school’s mock trial team to ranking third place in the nation. After graduation, Ankon worked as a litigation paralegal helping low-income individuals in Southern California build personal injury suits against powerful insurance companies. In his free time, Ankon enjoys cooking cultural cuisines, exercising, and exploring New York city’s famous food scene.
