Ali Jimenez

Ali Jimenez is from Fresno, California. She graduated with a bachelor's in Political Science and a minor in LGBTQ Studies from the University of California, Santa Barbara. After college, Ali's passion for social justice and education led her to New York, where she spent four years teaching 6th grade Math to students through Teach For America. After earning her Masters in the Art of Teaching through the Relay Graduate School of Education, Ali joined TFA staff as a Manager for Teacher Leadership Development in Las Vegas for various Clark County Schools. In the summer before law school, Ali had the opportunity to participate in the SEO Law Fellowship at Debevoise & Plimpton LLP. There, she gained exposure to pro bono topics advocating for immigrant and refugee communities, which she looks forward to exploring while at Columbia. When Ali is outside of Jerome Greene Hall, you can find her watching the latest Netflix original or exploring New York!
