Casandra Delgado

Casandra Mercedes Delgado ’24 grew up in Detroit, Michigan, and graduated from New York University in May 2021. She received a B.A. in Individualized Study, completing a colloquium and rationale entitled, “Criminalizing Narratives: Advocacy, Public Policy & Law”. During her time at NYU, Casandra worked at the Office of the Public Defender for Washtenaw County, Michigan, the Public Defender Service for the District of Columbia, and the Legal Aid Society of New York. After her graduation, Casandra had the opportunity to participate in the SEO Law Fellowship at Davis Polk & Wardwell. As a 1L at CLS, Casandra enjoyed working as a staff editor for the Journal of Race and Law, and competing on the LaLSA Asylum & Refugee Law Moot Court team. In her 2L year, she is serving as the Academics Chair of LaLSA, a coach for LaLSA’s Asylum & Refugee Law Moot Court team, and a Staff Editor on the Columbia Law Review. This upcoming summer, Casandra will be spending a second summer working at Covington & Burling as a Summer Associate. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, dancing, traveling, and watching shows on Telemundo.
