Current Projects

The current research Rightslink is working on includes:

  • Creating a resource guide for families of imprisoned individuals who want to assist domestic and international advocacy efforts on criminal justice reform
     
  • Researching the establishment and functioning of an independent complaints mechanism for military, police, and security force abuses in Zimbabwe
     
  • Analyzing whether economic development programs in Myanmar comply with its obligations under the UN Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples
     
  • Determining whether indigenous status can be granted to small communities in Georgia and how this would affect natural resource governance in the country
     
  • Investigating whether certain Eastern European countries can be considered safe for refugee resettlement
