About

The purpose of the National Security Law Society is to provide opportunities and resources to promote discourse on national security law issues within the Columbia Law School community. It also serves to increase the understanding of the intersection of national security issues and the law.

NSLS works on its own and alongside other Columbia Law School departments, student organizations, and faculty to bring interesting national security law programming to the Law School. NSLS also hosts career-related events to help students find summer jobs, obtain post-graduation employment, and brainstorm other career opportunities in the field of national security law. We work jointly with Student Justice Initiatives, which provides career-related programming and advising, Career Services, faculty, and other Law School students to provide career resources to our fellow peers.

NSLS also works to bring academic opportunities related to national security to the Law School.

In recent years, NSLS has also maintained a blog serving as a forum for discussions on national security law and policy issues.
