CSIL is proud to co-sponsor this event with the Human Rights Institute (HRI).  Join us for an event that features intergenerational dialogue between activists who attended the Beijing+25 conference and youth leaders facing the crises of our times: “How the Beijing Women’s Conference Speaks to Us Today,” will feature personal stories from those who attended the UN Fourth World Conference on Women as well as inspiring narratives from youth leaders for an intergenerational dialogue on equality.  Through personal narratives, the speakers will bridge these questions and themes from the Beijing conference with current movements for gender equality.

The event will cover topics like:

How does the UN Fourth World Conference on Women speak to the young generation today? Can this legacy help us to address the crises of our times, related to racial and gender inequality? What are priority actions for the UN Women Generation Equality Forum (2021) and CSW65?Did the Beijing Platform go far enough? How helpful is it to address gender issues today? Who wasn’t included in the original drafting? How can we hold governments accountable to it? What are our demands for the future of women’s rights?
