Join the Society for Immigrant and Refugee Rights (SIRR) and Professor Villazor on a conversation on "sanctuary" for immigrant communities. Representatives from varying New York City communities will join us for a conversation on work and policies regarding "sanctuary" for immigrants, including:

Dr. Carolina Franco, Psychologist Professor, Columbia Health Professor Katherine Franke, Sulzbacher Professor of Law, Columbia Law School Father Julian Jagudilla of the St. Francis Church Migrant Center Indiana Porta, Legislative Counsel, Immigration Committee at New York City Council

We will discuss not only "sanctuary" as portrayed by local and state governments, but also in community settings, such as schools, churches, social media, and community-organizing groups.
