Valy Menendez ‘22 serves as the Communications Chair for LaLSA. She graduated with distinction from Yale University in 2018 with a B.A. in Political Science and Ethnicity, Race, and Migration. After graduation, Valy was a paralegal at a global business immigration firm where she provided a range of immigration services to corporate and individual clients. Valy was a SEO Law Fellow before law school and worked as a summer associate at Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP. This past summer, Valy was a 1L Diversity Fellow at Milbank LLP. She is interested in transactional work with a particular focus on cross-border work and emerging companies. On campus, Valy is the VP of Professional Development for the California Society, a Teaching Assistant for Legal Methods and Civil Procedure, Pro Bono Counsel for the Entrepreneurship & Community Development Clinic, and a Student Member of the Paralegal Pathways Initiative, a program that supports individuals who have gained legal skills while incarcerated by connecting them with professional opportunities in the legal field. In her free time, Valy loves doing hot yoga or really any kind of group work out class so join her whenever you can!
