Bianca Chavez '22 serves as the Public Interest Professional Development Chair for LaLSA. Before law school, Bianca worked on the Hillary Clinton campaign for President and also taught 8th grade history. Bianca spent her 1L summer working at Texas Defender Services: a nonprofit providing legal representation to individuals convicted of capital crimes. At CLS, Bianca coaches NALSA moot court, sits on the boards of LaLSA and EWOC, and also advises the Public Interest/ Public Service Fellows program. She plans to work in criminal justice immediately upon graduation, probably as a public defender. One fun fact about Bianca is that she is getting married in June of 2021: unless Corona Virus messes that up too!
