Originally from Cupertino, California, Jenny Zhou also lived six years abroad in Shanghai, China, attending the international middle and high school, Shanghai American School. Ms. Zhou graduated from Emory University in 2017 with a degree in English & Creative Writing. Before law school, she spent two years working in the law and tech industry in Atlanta, Georgia. At Columbia, Ms. Zhou is pursuing a joint degree in law and business. She also serves as CLWA’s Private Sector Chair, on the Columbia Business Law Association (CBLA) board, is TexSoc’s Director/Vice-President of Programming, and an editor for the Columbia Science and Technology Law Review (STLR). Ms. Zhou spent her 1L summer at Baker McKenzie as a Summer Associate, worked on the Covid-19 EvictionLab.org pro bono project with Professor Benfer, and mentored students applying for law school.
